Generating Audit Trail Report

You can generate the reports for audit trail information based on the System Message Number, Message Number Between specific date range, Audit Trail between Dates, AER Number, Operation Type and User ID criteria.

To generate Audit Trail reports:

In the ARISg use menu bar, click ESM menu > Reports section > Audit Trail.

The Reports: Audit Trail page appears.

Refer the following field description table to enter or select the values on the Reports: Audit Trail page to generated the report.

Reports - Audit Trail Field Details Table

Field	Description
System Msg. Number	In the From field, enter the system generated message number from which you want generate the report. In the To field, enter the system generated message number up to which you want generate the report If a message number range is entered, then all the AER cases that fall within the specified range are considered for the report generation. If the message number is entered only in the From field or To field, then the report is generated for the message number entered in the From field or To field respectively
Message No. Between	In the From field, enter the case message number from which you want generate the report. In the To field, enter the case message number up to which you want generate the report If a message number range is entered, then all the AER cases that fall within the specified range are considered for the report generation. If the message number is entered only in the From field or To field, then the report is generated for the message number entered in the From field or To field respectively
Audit Trail Between	In the From Date field, select the date from which you want generate the report. In the To Date field, select the date up to which you want generate the report If date range is entered, then all the AER cases that are audit trailed between the specified date range are considered for the report generation.
AER Number	Enter the AER number of the case for which you want to generate the audit trail report. In this field, you can use the percentile (%) as the wildcard character before or after the partial AER number. For example, %AS or AS%. The audit trail report is generated for the cases whose AER number begins with "AS" or the AER numbers that contain "AS".
Operation Type	Select the type of operation carried out on the case. The report is generated based on the selected operation. The available options are: New: Select this option to generate the report for the newly created records. Update: Select this option to generate the report for the updated records. Delete: Select this option to generate the report for the deleted records.
User ID	Enter the unique identification of the agXchange ESM user. If a User ID is entered, only the cases that are changed by the specified user are considered for report generation.
Format Type	Under this section, you can select the report format types for which you want to generate the audit trail report. The available options are: E2B (M2): Select this check box to generate audit trail report for the cases that are in E2B (M2) format. E2B (R3): Select this check box to generate audit trail report for the cases that are in HL7 (R3) format. eMDR (R2): Select this check box to generate audit trail report for the cases that are in HL7 (R1) format.

Click Generate.

The audit trail report is generated.

Use the vertical and horizontal scroll bars to view the entire report. Pagination is provided with the First, Previous, Next and Last buttons.

Click (available on the top-left corner of the page) to view the html version of the report.

To print the report, click .
To generate the report in MS Excel format, click (available in the top-right corner of the page).

The File Download dialog appears.

Click Open to view the report as a MS Excel file or click Save to save the report in a specified location in your local drive in MS Excel format.

Session Information

The data printed in the Session Information section is described in the following table:

Date Time	E2B_AUDIT_SESSION/ DATE_TIME	Not Applicable. The data displayed in this field is extracted internally and displayed in the report.	The date of action (That is, the date and time the database is modified) is printed. The date and time is in the following format: DD-MON-YYYY HH:MM:SS
User ID	E2B_AUDIT_SESSION/ USER_ID	Not Applicable. The data displayed in this field is extracted internally and displayed in the report.	The User ID of the person who made the change, is printed.
Reason	E2B_AUDIT_SESSION/ REASON	E2B Audit Trail Session/ Reason Description.	The reason for the modification is printed. When no data is available in the reason description, the corresponding entries in the report are blank.

Field Name	E2B_AUDIT_TRAIL/ FIELD_NAME	Not Applicable. The data displayed in this field is extracted internally and displayed in the report.	The field name for the corresponding field, after the change in value, is printed.
Operation	E2B_AUDIT_ TRAIL/ CHANGE_TYPE	Not Applicable. The data displayed in this field is extracted internally and displayed in the report.	The code of the operation type is printed in this column. The operation defines the type of modification made to the fields.
Old Value	E2B_AUDIT_TRAIL/ OLD_VALUE	Any field subject to addition, deletion, and update of data.	The previous value of the modified field is printed.
New Value	E2B_AUDIT_TRAIL/ NEW_VALUE	Any field subject to addition, deletion, and update of data.	The new value of the modified field is printed.
