The Periodic Safety Update Report (PSUR) is a periodic report developed in accordance with the International Conference of Harmonization (ICH) E2C guidelines.
The PSUR guidelines are:
To report all relevant new information from appropriate sources
To relate these data to patient exposure
To summarize the market authorization status in different countries and any significant variations related to safety
To create the opportunity for a periodic overall safety re-evaluation
To indicate whether changes should be made to product information in order to optimize its use
The purpose of the PSUR is to harmonize the safety evaluation processes of the ICH regions and to provide a standard template and content for reporting safety information.
In ARISg, you can invoke the PSUR Report Selection page in two ways:
From the List of Selected AERs page or
From Reports à PSUR menu option of ARISg
PSUR can be generated for a batch of AERs specified within a date range, for a particular product that is marketed under a particular trade name, etc. These specifications can be defined in the Selection tab of the PSUR Report Selection page.
The following sections in PSUR can be generated in ARISg:
ICHLL (Individual Case History Line Listing) Report
Summary Tabulation (SUMTAB) Report.
Exception Report
For each of the above-mentioned reports, you can set certain parameters called as the Run time parameters based on the requirements of each report.
General parameters like the Dictionary Type to be used, ART term type to be used and Disease Dictionary type to be used can also be set from this page.
You can generate PSUR by specifying the run-time parameters in the PSUR Report Selection page. The tabs of the PSUR Report Selection page have been described in detail in the subsequent topics.
